"The Macho Mouse is one of my most unique patterns.
It was designed to skip over any log or vegetation on the water surface without getting snagged.
Unlike most mice patterns, the hook is inverted.
The foam back does several different things. Not only does it act like a weed guard, but it adds the floatation while letting the body of the mouse hang below the surface.
Being that bass is my main target species in my location, the combination of the inverted hook and the foam back has been outstanding for throwing around brush and lily pads.
There are also beads underneath to help ensure the mouse lands right every time while giving it a little sound when moving.
These helped give the fly its name because this mouse has a pretty impressive set of brass hanging under it."
