This is quite possibly the finest rotary vise (Renzetti) as it is very tight and solid, yet very smooth. The jaws allow more clearance to the hook shank and provide a secure hook holding power without overtightening the hook. My previous rotary tying vise, A Griffiths Mongoose, which is now regulated to be my travel vise has served me well. But the comparison is like night vs. day with the Renzetti being vastly superior on quality.
