Sweet Pea Jig

The new Sweet Pea jig pattern originated by Doug Ouellette has quickly become one of our favorite patterns to fish in the Black Hills, and for good reason. This is a fantastic pattern for Euro style nymphing, and the fish really dig it – The slender body and the iridescence of peacock herl makes for a deadly combination. This is a killer pattern in Spearfish Creek! Tie the Sweet Pea in size 12-18, and mix up the color combinations a bit to suit your local fish.
