Ryan's Fire Ant Fly Tying Materials
Terrestrials are a significant part of many trout's diet in the summer, and ants are widely available across many trout streams. This pattern is one of my favorite any imitations. It's high floating, easy to see, and the fish dig it!
Materials:
- Hook: Daiichi 1273 size 16-18
- Thread: Ultra Thread 70
- Abdomen: Red Fine and Dry Dubbing
- Wing: Blood Red CDC
- Hackle: Brown Hackle
