Description

MFC Jig Zirdle Bug

The MFC Jig Zirdle Bug is a must-have fly for anglers targeting trout, smallmouth bass, and other opportunistic species. Designed with a jig-style hook, this pattern rides hook-point up to reduce snags and improve hookups in rocky runs and deep pools. The Zirdle Bug’s lively rubber legs, slim profile, and subtle marabou movement perfectly imitate stoneflies, crayfish, and other aquatic prey—making it an incredibly versatile nymph or streamer crossover.

Whether you’re euro nymphing, fishing under an indicator, or swinging through pocket water, the MFC Jig Zirdle Bug gets down fast thanks to its tungsten bead and jig hook design. A proven fly for pressured waters, this pattern excels in clear streams, tailwaters, and freestone rivers alike.

Key Features:

Versatile profile imitates stoneflies, crayfish, and baitfish
Effective for trout, smallmouth bass, and other predatory species
Ideal for euro nymphing, indicator rigs, or light streamer setups

Fish the MFC Jig Zirdle Bug when you need a confidence pattern that triggers aggressive strikes in deep runs and around structure.
