Ross Animas Fly Reel- Chartreuse

Ross Animas Fly Reel – Chartreuse Limited Edition

A bold twist on a proven workhorse. The Animas Limited Edition wraps the hardest-working reel in the Ross lineup in a head-turning chartreuse anodized finish — the kind of pop you can spot from across the river. Machined right in Montrose, Colorado and named for the Animas River that runs just upstream of the Ross factory, this reel delivers serious Western heritage with a dose of attitude.

Underneath the finish, everything that makes the Animas a favorite with guides and working anglers is still in place. A fully machined aluminum frame and spool keep it light without giving up any backbone, and the intricate porting shows off Ross's machining chops — right down to the signature Colorado mountain silhouette cut into the frame. The ultra-large, bell-shaped arbor geometry means fast line pickup and less memory in your fly line, so you stay connected when fish turn and run.

The upgraded composite drag system is smooth from startup through hard runs, with enough stopping power to handle trout, bass, pike, carp, and even light saltwater duty. A canvas phenolic handle grips tighter when it gets wet, and the low-profile two-tone drag knob makes on-the-fly adjustments easy with cold fingers or gloves on.
