Tim Wade's North Fork Special is one of our go-to flies here in the Black Hills, as well as anywhere else there are stonefly nymphs. Adjust the color and size of this pattern and you can match nearly any stonefly nymph out there! The North Fork Special is one of our staple patterns in our guide's boxes - tie a few up!

North Fork Special Materials:

Hook: Tiemco 2457 size 10-16

Bead: Brass Bead to match hook size

Weight: Lead wire (.025 to .015 depending on hook size)

Thread: UTC 140 Denier
