The Tungsten Jig Flashback Pheasant Tail is one of our must-have flies if you're fishing the Black Hills. There's been many days of guiding that I start the day off with a Jig Pheasant Tail tied on, and we left it on for the entire trip. Fish really dig this fly, and because of the jig hook and slotted tungsten bead the hook rides point up in the water, which results in better hookups and less snags. This is one of our favorite patterns for the Black Hills streams - tie up a few!
