EP Brush Home Invader Streamer - Fly Tying Video

EP Brush Home Invader Streamer

Ryan Gabert demonstrates the EP Brush Home Invader streamer. A variation of Doug McNights streamer pattern. This has been an extremely effective streamer for large brown trout for our staff. The original recipe uses fox tail. Fox Tail makes and awesome fly and it's worth tying some in the original pattern. However, you can make an awesome looking Home Invader much more quickly with the EP Foxy Brushes. We also like to use a much larger hook gap for this fly. A Gamakatsu B10s is a good choice, but you can use any large gapped streamer hook.

Typically we tie and fish tan versions of this fly. Be sure to experiment with different color variations. It's important to have a good selection of colors depending on the amount of sunlight, water level, or water color. White, Black, and Yellow versions of this fly are well worth having in your streamer box. Olive is another important color.
