Beginning Fly Tying Classes!
We've had a lot of interest in fly tying classes throughout the last few weeks, and now that the holidays and annual inventory are finished up we have a few on the schedule. We have a few options for classes to cover a range of tiers and interests!
January 23rd Beginning Fly Tying - This class is setup for the person that knows little to nothing about tying flies, and wants to get started on the right foot. You'll go over basic techniques used in fly tying, and learn to tie a few basic but very useful patterns. This class will run from 6-8 here at the shop on Thursday, January 23rd. Cost is $35, and no equipment is necessary. 4 spots available.
January 31st Pike Tube Fly Tying Class - There's a lot of interest in pike fishing lately, and there's a lot of guys tying pike flies. We've been fishing with tube flies for pike a lot over the past year, and have found them to be very effective, durable, and fun to tie! The cost of the class includes a Pro Sportfisher XL Needle for holding the tube, and a pack of Pro Sportfisher Predator XL tubing. The class will run from 6-8pm on Wednesday, January 31st here at the shop. The cost is $60, and includes all materials. We ask that you bring your own vise and tools. 4 spots available.
February 3rd Intermediate Fly Tying - This class will be setup for the tier that has the basic skills down, but is looking to take their fly tying to the next level. This class will go over 4 patterns, with with different techniques and tying skills involved. The class will run from 2-4pm on Saturday, February 3rd here at the shop. The cost for the class is $40. Materials are included, but we ask that you bring your own vise and tools. 4 spots available.
