Scott G Series Fly Rods are classics. These are hands down our favorite rods to fish small to mid sized trout water. The new Scott G Series rods just won Best Freshwater Fly Rod at the 2017 International Fly Tackle Dealer Show. The updated G Series keeps the medium action that has been the hallmark of the series and incorporates new technology first used in Scott Radian rods. The new technology increases the recovery speed of the blank, which is a big deal on moderate action rod. Basically this smooths out the wiggles in the line during the cast, resulting in a fuller transfer of energy and easier distance. The new G Series is much lighter than the original series. The newest version of the series marries the classic aspects of the G Series rods and combines them with advances in rod technology.
