With the shortest head length in the Gold class, the Max is a purpose-built full-size heavy line designed to load weightier and unwieldy payloads smoothly. The short head shifts more weight towards the back of the body, allowing anglers to turn over heavier rigs more efficiently, while the shorter front taper combined with the tapered body enables bulky dries to be delivered with finesse. The short back taper and a rear-loaded body facilitate incredible roll casting of heavier rigs while making it easier to mend at a distance.
