Green Weenie Midge

Another hot pattern from the Bighorn River. A great producer in the early season on the Bighorn. We brought this pattern back to fish on Black Hills streams. The Green Weenie has become one of our best producing midge larva patterns. For trout keyed in on midge larvae the Green Weenie is an excellent pattern. This is a great option for fish that have seen all the standard midge patterns. Make sure to have a few Green Weenie Midges in your fly box! The Green Weenie features a glass bead head, flash ribbed body, and an epoxy coating. The result is a translucent fly with some flash- this fly flat works.
