Red Phase Ruffed Grouse Tail Feathers

I purchased these feathers to tie an oldie but goodie Breadcrust nymph. It imitates a cased caddis and is very buggy and was developed by Ed Rolka. Some prework is required with the feather, but after the prework the tie is quite simple. Not a lot of materials required; TMC 5262 size 14, 3mm gold tungsten bead, black or brown 6/0 thread, brown Superfine dubbing, partridge or grizzly hen feather and of course the grouse tail feather. Fish as the lead nymph on your nymph rig.
