The 9' 9 weight Ion XL rod is a perfect match for big, bulky predator flies. The medium fast action is awesome for cushioning the casting of big flies, and is easy to fish all day. 4 piece, comes with a tube. Lifetime warranty!
The Bravo reel is Echo's newest reel offering, and is a designed to meet the rigors of big fish and bulky lines. Saltwater safe sealed drag, cast aluminum construction, large arbor for past line pickup, and easily convertible from left to right hand retrieve.
The Scientific Anglers Sonar 3D INT/SINK2/SINK3 fly line is an aggressive shooting head style line that casts monster flies with ease. These lines are rockets! Comes with a Scientific Anglers Apex Predator leader as well, so you're ready to fish right out of the box.
This is an awesome setup for someone that's looking to get into pike fishing at a reasonable cost, but still wants solid equipment. This is also an excellent affordable saltwater setup as well - we recommend the Airflo Topical Punch fly line if you're headed to the salt!
