Fall Fly Tying Classes!
Ryan Gabert |
Even if the weather isn't acting the part, we're nearing winter. Since the days are getting pretty short, we're going to start up our fly tying classes and fly tying nights again! This is a start to our schedule with beginning tying classes and fly tying nights - we will add some intermediate tying classes in the coming weeks.
Beginning Fly Tying - If you're looking to get into fly tying but don't know how, this is the class for you. We will go over all of the techniques required to properly tie a fly, and learn four flies that are effective throughout the Black Hills. There's zero experience required to come to this class! The class will run from 6-8 pm, and the cost is $30. The dates we have scheduled now are November 15th, November 29th, and December 13th.
Thursday Night Fly Tying - Our Thursday evening fly tying nights have been a hit over the past few years, and we'll start them up again this coming Thursday, October 17th. These are a social event more than anything else, and gives everyone a chance to bounce ideas off each other and tie up a few bugs. Bring your vise, tools, and favorite beverage! See you at the shop at 7pm.
If you want to enroll in the beginning fly tying class, give the shop a call at 605-341-2450 or shoot us an email at dakotaflyangler@gmail.com. We'll add a few more classes in the coming weeks!
