Rio Premier Dog Days Gold Fly Line

The ultimate, all around family of light line weights designed to perform well in hot conditions, with ultra-slick performance.

The Dog Days Gold is the perfect line when the air temps reach their peak on your favorite trout fishery or farm pond. You know what we mean - your shirt is already sticking to your back at 9:00 in the morning and it’ll only get worse when the sun gets higher. Fortunately the fish are still chowing, so now all you need is a line for your favorite trout rod that won’t wilt in the heat. Built with a hard coating and medium stiff core, the Dog Days Gold is perfectly equipped for those summer scorchers. Whether on an August float in the northern Rockies where the deck of the dirftboat bakes in the sun, trout fishing with hight heat indices of the Southeast, or casting bluegill on ponds during hot summer evenings, the Dog Days Gold is built to take on and protect against the hottest of air temperatures.

• Hard coasting and medium stiff core to prevent wilting in high heat

• Long head for ultimate casting control

• Front biased weight to load rods at close range

• Taper design to cast flies between #22 and #2

• Built with RIO’s exceptionally slick, durable SlickCast coating
